Terms of Service

Last updated 31 October 2026

These terms govern your use of AskMyBox, operated by myEcommerce, Inc., a California corporation ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the service you agree to them.

What the service is

AskMyBox lets you upload documents and email archives and ask questions about them in plain language. Content is organized into projects, and a search is confined to the project you have selected.

Your account

You are responsible for what happens under your account. Keep your sign-in credentials and your two-factor device to yourself.

Do not share one account between several people. Every action is recorded against the account that performed it, so a shared account destroys the record of who did what — which is one of the main things this service is for. If a colleague needs access, invite them as their own user with their own permissions.

Your content stays yours

You keep all rights to everything you upload. You grant us only the licence we need to run the service for you: to store your content, process it so it can be searched, and show it back to you and to the people you have given access. We do not use your content for any other purpose, and we do not use it to train AI models.

What you are responsible for

You must have the right to upload what you upload and to let us process it. If your material is confidential, privileged or subject to professional or regulatory duties, judging whether this service is an appropriate place for it is your decision, not ours.

You must not use AskMyBox to store or process material that is unlawful, or in any way that breaks the law that applies to you.

Things you must not do

Answers can be wrong

AskMyBox uses AI models to read your documents and compose answers. Those answers can be incomplete or mistaken, and an answer that cites a document may still misread it. Verify anything that matters against the source document, which we always show you. Nothing the service produces is legal, financial, medical or other professional advice, and it is not a substitute for your own review and judgement.

Availability

This is an early service. We do not promise any particular uptime, and we may change, suspend or withdraw features. We will give reasonable notice of changes that materially reduce what you are getting, where we can.

Fees

There are no paid plans at present. If we introduce them, we will say so clearly in advance and you will not be charged without agreeing first.

Suspension and ending your account

You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end an account that breaks these terms, that puts the service or other customers at risk, or where we are required to by law. Except where the breach is serious or we have no choice, we will tell you first and give you a reasonable opportunity to export your content.

Disclaimers

To the fullest extent the law allows, the service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue or lost data, arising out of or relating to these terms, even if advised that such damages were possible.

Our total liability arising out of or relating to these terms will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred United States dollars.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Your indemnity

You will defend and indemnify us against claims brought by a third party arising from content you uploaded, or from your use of the service in breach of these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. The state and federal courts located in California will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, and both parties consent to their jurisdiction.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms we will update the date above. If a change materially affects your rights we will tell account holders directly before it takes effect.
